The category is organised by technology and by packaging, not by application, because the application follows from the technology.

How to choose

Start from the constraint rather than from the part. If you have a wavelength or a colour target, begin there. If you have a power or a lifetime target, begin with the package family. If you are replacing an existing part, use the LED Part Number Finder to confirm the footprint and the forward voltage band before anything else.
